What is WADOT?    

The Washington Association of Diversified Occupations Teachers is a community of professionals dedicated to maintaining an active leadership in the promotion of Diversified Occupations which includes all Cooperative and Instructional Work-Site Learning while working in cooperation with the Washington Association for Career and Technical Education.  Objectives of this organization include:

  • To render service to members by providing for discussion and consideration of questions and problems pertinent to Diversified Occupations and/or Work-Site Learning Coordinators.

  • To unite all Diversified Occupations and/or Work-Site Learning Coordinators and other interested groups and individuals.

  •  To promote and recognize Diversified Occupation, Career Choices and/or Work-Site Learning Education as integral and important to the total education program

  • To acquaint individuals in the general field of education and their organization with the scope of the program and the need for Diversified Occupations, Career Choices and/or Work-Site Learning.

  • To aid members in preparing youth for cooperative and/or instructional work-site learning experiences which link education directly to the workplace.

  • To assist in the development of improved professionals in Diversified Occupations, Career Choices and/or Work-Site Learning Programs.

  • To cooperate with other organizations in the improvement of training and occupational standards of Diversified Occupations, Career Choices and/or Work-Site Learning Programs.

  • To unify the methods of conducting the activities of the group and to promote good fellowship among the members.

  • To promote professional development through inservice activities among the members.
